Let's lift up our hearts, drums and voices full of our longings for ourselves, eachother and this beautiful earth.

An evening of spontaneous collective song, rhythm and connection under the full moon

Join us for a relaxed, welcoming evening where women come together to sing, drum, listen and reflect — creating space not just for ourselves, but for the wider world we’re part of.

We’ll start at 6pm with an optional shared meal: homemade soup, bread and cake around the fire. This is a chance to arrive slowly, eat together and settle in.

From 7.30pm, we’ll gather in a circle for a guided singing circle. Through simple rhythms and spontaneous group singing, we’ll explore what it feels like to make music together — and to let our voices carry intentions for the times we’re living in and for the year ahead.

Rather than performing, we’ll be listening closely — to one another, to the group, and to whatever wants to be expressed in the moment. Many people experience this as a way of stepping out of everyday busyness and reconnecting with something larger than themselves: community, nature, and a shared sense of care for humanity and the Earth.

What to expect:

  • Sharing a simple meal together (optional)

  • Gentle rhythm-making using voices and potentially drums

  • Circlesong and vocal improvisation, guided and supported

  • Setting shared intentions or “prayers” for ourselves, our communities and the wider world

  • Listening as much as singing — joining in when it feels right

  • Sitting and sharing  in circle, by a cosy woodburner or outside around the fire depending on the weather

What you’ll come away with:

  • A sense of connection — with other women and with something beyond everyday life

  • The experience of making music without pressure or judgement

  • Feeling more grounded, open and uplifted

  • A new way of expressing care, hope or prayer through sound rather than words

  • Confidence to use your voice in a supportive group

  • A memorable evening in a beautiful wild place

The circle is open to all women, whether or not you  are used to singing  or have ever done anything like this before. You don’t need musical experience — just a willingness to be present.

I’m delighted to be bringing Full Moon Circlesong to Hillyfield this year — a stunning site with ancient woodland, a stone circle and abundant quartz, nestled in a peaceful valley. We’ll have access to a cosy space with woodburner  as well as an outdoor fire area, so we can stay warm and connected whatever the weather.
